additions to section three

Step 1a:
Post 3 bottle silhouettes you have created to you blog.
For each silhouette, write about how you would expect the liquid inside to taste, if it were an non-alcoholic carbonated beverage. (i.e. what does it mean for a soda to come in a bottle shaped like a perfume bottle? a wine bottle? an oil can?)

Step 2a.
you will need three pages for this next part:
One a separate page, pair each of the five typefaces with each of the bottles.
Next give each pair three color combination variations.
you will end up with a total of 45 bottles.

balloon posters (classes for October 25th and 27th)

Take a gander at these vintage travel posters as inspiration for your next set of exercises:

Create a series of posters (four) using the balloon we drew in class. (Save the same balloon four different times in Illustrator) Give each balloon a different color harmony (based on the online text book: http://www.pixelcola.net/textbook/front.html) Use the name of the color harmony (i.e. analogous or split complimentary) as the title of the poster.

Presence in class this week is once again not required, but these 11 x 17 posters should be posted to your blog by Friday, October 29th. Be creative in the placement of the display type (the title of the chosen color harmony), and in the placement and scale of the balloon. Each balloon should be a different size in each poster. Other elements (such as mountains or etc. are O.K., but all elements must be made of colors that fit the color harmony of the title of your poster.
